Lindsay Nootbaar is a Latine filmmaker and camera assistant based in Chicago, IL.
They gravitate towards character-driven and coming-of-age narrative stories and have a BFA in Film & Television from DePaul University.
Lindsay has work featured in the Chicago Tribune and received two awards from the Illinois Journalism Education Association. They were also the cinematographer on Maggie Brill's How to Glow in the Dark, which received the Northwestern University Women Filmmakers Alliance’s annual grant and premiered at CineYouth 2023 in the Chicagoland program.

Their recent short, Hello Again, Goodbye, directed by Rebecca Rhodes, written by Emily Schumann, is now on its festival run and they are currently in development on Sick Fuel! directed by Rebecca Rhodes, written by WIlla Koster, set for production in spring 2025!

When not shooting, Lindsay enjoys writing, crocheting and finding new music :)
